At the mouth of the Bay of Pasaia is a unique place. The Basque Maritime Factory, a place where history comes alive. This place remembers the glorious past of flights in the field of shipbuilding, this site is revived this tradition, a legacy for future generations.

In this unique space you will learn about the history of shipbuilding, the first overseas travel or life aboard a whaling ship. On the premises you will find a museum, a workshop and a shipyard where under the watchful gaze of the public carpenters and naval craftsmen build an exact replica of the Nao San Juan, a whaling sixteenth century was built on this same port in 1563.
